The History of Our Resort is In Our Family!

Under the ownership of the Andy family, La Mer Beachfront Resort opened in 1969 as a cozy, yet modern beachfront resort in the heart of Cape May, New Jersey. Celebrating more than 50 years at the shore, the recently expanded hotel also features a waterfront restaurant, The Pier House, serving fresh, seasonal cuisine in an inviting atmosphere by the ocean.

Exciting Enhancements

Get ready for an exciting transformation at La Mer Beachfront Resort! Effective November 1st through late May of 2024*, there will be ongoing construction and renovations onsite, primarily along Beach Avenue which will affect most ocean facing accommodations. As we embark on a journey of renovations, please bear with us during this period and pardon our dust as we work diligently to create a rejuvenated and inviting space for your future enjoyment. While we are enthusiastic about these improvements, we do understand that construction can sometimes be disruptive. We appreciate guests’ choosing to reserve your stay and join us during November 1st through late May of 2024*. Please note, construction may affect the view from your guest room. Our team values transparency with our construction plans and will do everything possible to minimize any disturbances and ensure that your comfort remains a top priority.
